Life happens when your planning for it

Paytyn has been growing so fast!I can't believe she is 7 1/2 months old! I was packing up some of her smaller clothes and I found a 0-3m onies and I couldn't believe how big she has gotten since she was born! Jim has been gone for almost a week now with the Army. He is our in the desert. This is the longest we have ever gone without talking. He had Internet in Iraq, and when he went to Egypt he had the Internet. So we have never gone more then a day without talking. So this week with Paytyn has been so much fun. She has been doing so many new things! She is eating finger foods. She makes faces when I feed her baby food. So I have to chop things up and she has so much fun eating with her fingers.
So Paytyn and I have been eating our meals together . Now that she can some what eat by herself. Last night I made pasta for us. I chopped up some pasta and green beans. SHE loved the pasta. She ate almost all of it. I still fed her, her sweet potato's and turkey.
So this is Paytyn's new cheesy smile. She woke up yesterday with this new smile. I tried all day trying to get it on camera. And finally she did it for me at dinner time. And this really isn't it. But it was the closest I could get of this new smile.
So not to many people have seen pictures of Jim in Iraq. Yes he spent the first year of our marriage in Iraq. While he was there he made Sergent. This is the ceremony of him making Sergent.I was so proud when he told me that he made Sergent. It took him a little while to make it, but he didn't give up. With Jim being away this week I have had so much fun with Paytyn. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it alone. I love it when Jim comes home from school and he can play with Paytyn so I can take a shower or just relax for a few mins. I have been adjusting to doing it all. I know Jim on most nights isn't even home until Paytyn is sleeping. But for him to just being able to listen for her on the monitor is so nice. So I miss him and love him. With Father's Day coming up maybe I can make a card for him;) He will be back in time for his first Father's day! I can't wait to see him and enjoy Father's Day with him as a family. He will be done with the Army this December. But we will see if he resigns or not....We still don't know yet.
